Georgia is no longer the unknown, hidden gem for good powder skiing in Eastern Europe. However there is a very good reason why it became so popular - it's simply a great mixture of very good skiing, welcoming people, fascinating culture and a bit of adventure.
Eric "Hoji" Hjorleifson, Anne Wangler and Fabio Keck teamed up with Max to explore the area around Mestia in the Caucasus Mountains and got lucky with a big storm to start off their trip with stellar powder skiing. After some down days in town, meeting new people and checking out the local food and culture, conditions allowed to ski some alpine terrain to round up a lifetime trip.
Story coming soon in a variety of print magazines!
